First United Methodist Church
Mountain View, Arkansas
MINISTRIES
The ministries of the First United Methodist Church
of Mountain View are many. Members of the congregation not
only meet together to worship our Lord Jesus Christ, but we go out
into the world to serve Him in a variety of ways. Most ministries of
the church are grouped under one of three TEAMS: the KNOW Team, the
GROW
Team and the SHOW Team. This is in keeping with our mission
statement which can be found on the Home Page
of this WEB site.
We believe God has granted to each believer gifts
and talents which can be used to benefit and grow the Kingdom of God,
to enhance and encourage the Body of Christ and show love to the local
community at large. Each believer no matter the age
or circumstance can have a part in ministry. There are children’s
ministries, youth
ministries, after school ministries,
Sunday
School, Bible
studies, Vacation Bible School and much more. There is even room
to add some - if you feel lead by the Lord and see a need.
Click on the buttons below to learn more about
these Teams and the other ministries at the FUMC-Mountain View -
and how you can be involved.

"See a Need,
Fill a Need”
A good example to follow ... Jesus. He
saw the need when he fed the
5000, when he turned the water into wine, when he healed the
sick, comforted and cared for the
grieving, prayed for the poor in
heart, taught His
followers, and
...WHEN HE SAVED US FROM OUR
SINS! He is
our awesome example, and
through this church, and these
teams, we can “see a need, fill a
need!”
Even little things count in the Kingdom of God.
From the United Methodist Church WEB site - Church & Ministry
"All Christians are called by God, through their baptism, to be
in ministry and service to the world. Ordained and licensed clergy are
called to specific ministry tasks within the church. Lay persons are
also called to engage in God's work in the church as well as in the
world."
